The 2017 India Land Development Conference (ILDC), held at the India International Centre on April 5th-6th, brought together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss land tenure security and governance in India.

This year’s conference featured a presentation by Mr. Simon L. Hrangchal from the RNBA Network on “Land Dialogue on Land Tenure & Governance in Hilly Areas of Manipur.” Mr. Hrangchal, affiliated with the EACRD, addressed the specific challenges faced in Manipur’s hilly regions.

The ILDC serves as a unique platform for discussing land-related issues across various sectors and disciplines. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the conference aims to improve land tenure security and achieve sustainable development goals in India.
